The Chicago Dutch Lions FC W League women's team could not get revenge vs Green Bay Glory on Tuesday evening for their 0-1 loss in the home opener of the 2022 season. Despite a good game the Glory won 2-0 thanks to goals scored by Caroline Gomes in the 29th minute and Skylar Prentice in the 52nd minute.
Nikhil Erlebach, the Head Coach of the men's team that coached the team in Milwaukee due to x being absent, said this on the game: "Despite missing some very player I thought we were very dominant in the game, but in the end we lose 2-0 on a scramble in the box off a corner kick and shot from over 20 yards going in. We simply have a difficulty scoring goals. But I am proud of the team, we have a lot of young talented players that we work with and the main goal is to develop them and improve during the season."
The W League team is now 0-2-0 in the season and play St. Louis Lions at home at Wheaton College June 12 at 4pm.
