Pre-season in full swing
The Chicago Dutch Lions FC women's team is preparing for their inaugural game on Sunday May 30 vs Chicago Red Stars Reserves at 1pm CT. The team started training May 18 and has about two weeks to prepare for the first game. "With all players coming in over the first few days we will use the first week to look at what we have and how fit everyone is. Some players have not played a league game in more than a year, some come straight from their college season" said CEO Nikhil Erlebach. "At the same time we will start explaining how we want to play as a club. We know we have a short window but so far the girls have been great. We definitely have some good players and the work ethic has been excellent."
